Nav
Finding workforce
Employers need people. Nav wants more people in work. So how should Nav's services, processes and organisation evolve to serve both?
That was the question here. We mapped digital and manual work processes, and dug into tricky topics like AI in recruitment, privacy and handling sensitive personal data.
As senior service designer, I led parts of the insight work.

Challenge
Helping employers find people involves digital tools, manual routines, and a lot of teams and units. On top of that sit hard questions about AI in recruitment, privacy and sensitive personal data.
You can't design around questions like that. You have to design with them.
What I did
- Led parts of the insight work
- Facilitated interviews and workshops with employers and Nav staff
- Mapped processes and identified barriers, risks and opportunities
- Developed concepts that challenged existing processes, organisation and regulation
- Helped anchor goals and product strategy
- Coordinated initiatives across teams and units
- Shared insight across Nav
Not just screens
Not every concept was an interface. Some questioned how the work was organised in the first place, or the rules around it. That's often where the bigger opportunities hide.
